The dog breed is an Airedale Terrier - I'm still searching the mark
very cute!!
Sorry mowgli - I couldn't find the mark, only two other examples of the figurine with the same mark and they didn't identify maker.
That is okay thank you
Is there any way you can get a clearer picture of the mark?
I just posted a good picture of the mark
Good one too!! - I will keep an eye out, I have to search for the mark on my german dog figurine, its from my german grandmother and quite old.
Okay. Thanks
So, this dog is a hallmark item. I would of never guessed that. Is it valuable though? Thanks
I think the "hallmark" in this link refers to the "backstamp" or makers mark, not the Hallmark Stores - some of these early german dog figurines get up into the hundreds of dollars range - do more research on this, after all it is a bona-fide "antique"
This little dog could be 100s of dollars? I will reseach and try to find it. Thanks

This looks exactly like my dog.
Is yours 3" x 2 3/8" tall like in that link or ;
6" tall; about 7-1/2" to 7-3/4" long from hind leg to tip of nose?
Oh, I just read your description 2 1/2" tall - you have the small one but the factory mark is different for sure.
The link that I said is my dog. That one is probley not the right one. I can remeasure when I can. Probley later tonight
The tail on that one is curved - yours (not "yours" literally LOL) - your figurines' is more straight. The one I saw on worthpoint which I found searching by the AP mark is much larger (6" tall).
This dog is three inches from the top of his tail to the tip of his nose
I have been searching for this dog. It is really hard to find. I am commenting so, it will move back up on top of the list! Thanks everyone who is trying to help!
Why are you concerned of what I am concerned about?
My daughter has a different dog figure with this same mark, I don't have info on it, but will be watching. You can tell it's very high quality
Thanks Jewels, I will keep an eye out for you too!
Ahh thanks mowgli! : )
You are welcome, i have not found it. It must be hard to find...
Is adorable!
Thanks
I still have not found this mark... Does anybody no.any other kind of information?
bratjdd resolved this in comment #9 - Porzellanfabrik Unterweissbach Germany, mark used 1899-1909
This dog has a broken tail. I just saw it a few hours ago. It has been glued back on and i could not even tell. I am sure that brings value way down..
