    I found this item during a 'pick' today. Not looking to sell or get a price. However I am looking for someone who can identify what it is and what it was used for.
    It's completely non-magnetic and heavy. Pot metal possibly. Has locking screws on the back so when they're pushed closer together you can adjust the chain hang.

      During a 'pick' today of a USAF installation I came across this piece buried in the dirt. Am trying to identify what it is. No markings whatsoever.

      Thank you TubeAmp. Hit the nail on the head. I would've never guessed. But going on your answer I was able to find out a lot more on my find. Already had a few offers on the piece for over 300. Maybe.... After I die, my son will pass it on.
