This is a nice little pin back awarded to a PTA member from "Oxford" in 1944-45. The back is marked:
"LGB 10K
& STERLING"
"LGB
10K"
I am guessing the top bar and the coin are 10k and the chain is sterling? Most of these on the web are gold filled, but this one is real 10k. Weighs 4.5 grams.
PTA obviously had more money back then.
These days we are lucky to get a plastic tag with a name slipped into it!
lol:
"Hello My Name Is ________"
I have the exact same emblem as the upper left picture on a necklace. "National Congress of Parents and Teachers 1897. With what appears to be the learning tree in the middle and a pearl background.
I have the same pin im wanting to sell if interested leave a comment plz
