    Another of my handpainted pieces from my great aunt. When I was little I remember being told that the "roses were painted with the blood of a princess". That made it magical for me, when I was 5.

      Pretty! Bottom marks? Looks like an American-painted piece of European porcelain. Another fashionable ladies' pastime although there were also companies specializing in porcelain painting too. Looks like it's a personal piece, not a company.
