This armchair has a partial sticker that, I believe, is from the Grand Rapids Michigan Furniture. It is in very good condition. As far as I can tell it has the original finish. I can not find one like it. There are some out there with North Wind faces. This one does not have that.
The chair is very dark in color but I've tried to lighten the picture to show detail. You can also click on the picture and it will make it bigger.

Your pictures are too dark for old eyes. The maker aside the carving was discontinued long ago.

Sorry. I've lightened them but also left one dark because the wood is very dark naturally. Also, I don't know if you know this but you can click on the picture and it will make it bigger! :) TR

No leather on the seat Riply206 but this is more information than I had! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. :) TR

I still can't find anything without a North Wind face. :( I'm thinking the face would have made it more pricy "in the day".

This is the only one I can find that is very similar. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Antique-Furniture/2012/2/unknown-curved-seat-chair.htm. Going to go with this explanation I suppose. Thanks for all the help. (hug)
