This is a very old cast iron tea kettle believed to be of Asian origination.
Purchased by my wife many years ago. It is about 8" high to the top of the handle and about 9" from the back, to the tip of the spout. It is in beautiful condition and quite unique. I have never seen another like it, and I keep it strictly as a display item in my home.

My observation is that this may be a Choshi, used to warm sake and not a Tetsubin, which is used to boil water; based on the style of the spout.
