I´m quite sure this is a bakelit necklace. I haven´t been able to find simichrome yet but I have tryed another formula with the exactly the same purpose (metallpolish). The formula is white but when used on this necklace it came up yellowish. I tryed the formula on other necklaces that I know isn´t bakelit and it didn´t react the same way. I love this necklace and it fits exactly round my neck, not too long.
How old do you think this is? Can the beadclasp give you an idea?
In the last photo the necklace is seen with another necklace wich is not bakelit for sure. Is this color of bakelit called "amber" ?
Thanks nutsabotas6 for your coment! Bakelite jewelry really isn't known or infashion here which makes it hard to find them. It's also a bit tricky to know if it's a nice one or not because of the fact that I haven't seen one in real life before. But I do think it's nice looking.
Thanks pops52 and Mikelv85 for the love.
Thanks aghcollect!
Thanks Sean and Vetraio50!
Thanks Manikin and racer4four for love'!
Thanks for loving this Moonstonelover21 and Freiheit!
Thankful for ideas on the age of this necklace. Can the clasp give anyone a clue perhaps?
PhilipDavidAlexandermorris thank you very much!
Hi Val. You've seen these before in an email. Decided to post the brown one as I'm quite sure now that's bakelite. It has a metall screw that looked a bit greenish from use. The orange necklace isn't bakelite, I only added it in order to show the color of the bakelite necklace campared to some other color. So it's the same bakelite necklace in all photos, but maybe that's what you ment. So it's rootbeer/brown color in 'bakelitelanguage' :). It's not easy to know because some of the beads are very near in color to real amber that I have. So bakelit amber color is more yellow or red? Thanks Val!
Hi, sorry for late respons. Work, work..I feel tryerd already after summer vaccation.
Thanks Val very much! That's great info cause then I know mine is from around 1950s probably. It's about 15 inches. It took a lot of searching to find this. Bakelit seams to be rare around here. Look in your email.... :)
Oh my spelling is bad tonight.

Thanks again Val.
