    From Japan, it's a pin cushion for you sewing collectors! Excellent condition and cute as can be! I believe this to be post WWII, as the other items acquired with it are all from that era. Not that that really means it's that old, it's just my opinion and we all know what that means...lol

      Share I have one of these, different figure on the top (not as nice as this), that I bought in Chinatown here about 10 years ago.
      I'm not saying yours is not older, but I am sure they are Chinese, not Japanese.
      The figure on the drums certainly looks Chinese to me.

      I love these, and use mine when I sew!
