I picked this up at an antique store in Northern California yesterday. I didn't get a good pic of the bottom but it says 'RRP CO' and 'USA' and 'Roseville'. it's fairly large - 6.5" tall x 9.5" wide. it'll make a great halloween prop - candy container at the nursery! i realize that it's not made by the company known as 'Roseville', but some other company in Roseville, OH. i'd love to find out more about this piece.

It's Robinson Ransbottom Pottery ho2..... :) They were located in Roseville Ohio the heart of art pottery country south of where I live. I have a few of their pieces mostly utilitarian stuff like planters and kitchen ware.

thank you mikelv85! nice detective work! have you or anyone ever seen this particular piece?

No not really but it does look like a bean pot. Might have had a lid too. They did do a lot of mixing bowls and kitchen pottery.

thanks mikelv85. this piece definitely did not have a lid. it's not really cooking ware, but decorative.

I picked mine up at a rummage sale in very Northern WI. Do you have any idea how old it is?
