This cigarette case belong to Sgt Harold Dixon Porter No 1549178 of the Royal Artillery he serve in the WW2 . The cigarette case was presented to him for winning the Cheshire Amateur Golf Champion in 1932 by the Prenton Golf Club Wirrel near Liverpool Uk it also shows the names of the other team members , the case is in hallmarked silver for 1932 ,as you can see from the pictures you can see where the bullet or shrapnel hit him sadly he die on the 20th March 1941 ,he is buried in Plymouth (Weston Mill)Cemetery. The items in this lot are cigarette case ,army pay book, driving licence,pictures of him at his wedding, army pictures travel paperwork,CWGC copy of his details , worthy of further research.
