I found this container while metal detecting on an old property. It's about 2 1/2" long and weighs 11.9 grams. One side looks like it was meant for a personal engraving, and the other side depicts an outdoor scene. I couldn't find any other markings on it so I had it tested. Turned out to be 14k gold. So far the closest ID has been a needle case. Any comments on what it is or how old it is are appreciated.
