This is a Model SA 2 Fancy Dial version. It was made in 1934.
The front, top, and sides are made from solid walnut. The greek pattern is made from light and dark inlaid wood.
By self starting I think that means you plug it in and it goes. The lower name plate on the back read "Model B ONE-TWO-THREE Single Tone Chime Alarm." It is 5 3/4" high at the top of the wood case and 5 1/4" wide at the base.
It does work and the alarm does time. Once, then twice then three times. It does this until one pushes down the brass ball on the top. It is not very loud and sounds pleasant.
I also looked up the electrical cord history and cloth covered cord such as the one this clock. It seems they were phased out around 1936. This does not include the insulated wires on appliances like toasters, waffle makers etc. Thus this is the original cord on this.
Thank you pw-collector for the information

fortapache, Tran Duy Ly's book Ingrahams Clocks & Watches, under Electric Clocks Self-Starting Synchronous Time Clocks on page 129, item 323, shows this clock without the dark area & fancy border design center dial like yours. It is just plain white with the Ingraham Self Starting label. It is described as:
      MODEL SA 2
5-3/4" high by 5-1/4" wide. Solid walnut top & base with burl walnut sides and front. Silk lined radio tone-grilles in sides. Handsome Greek fret border of selected light & dark inlaid woods. Finest rubbed lacquer finish. Gold plated sash & gold plated shut-off ball. Two-tone silver plated dial.
      It is dated 1934.

Thank you very much pw-collector. I am thinking I should put the date as 1934? I will change it for now unless you say otherwise.
