Hi Jewel I have a few of these girls and also the 12 inch size she made. They are precious :-) Thanks for sharing them !
Ruth Gibbs designed these after antique China dolls and made them in the 40s and 50s . She was a doll artist . McCall came out with a pattern called Godey Girls in late 40's for the doll. However Ruth Gibbs always finished the dolls and always dressed them. And her trade mark Bonnet was on all of them . I have the pattern for 12 inch and have yet to use it :-( If you sew you might like to look for her pattern. Her dress's are easy to ID as they always had same square neckline and quarter length sleeve . I can't see your plaid dress or one on doll to tell if they are her design . A few of the clothes are not her's . And they were always pinned in back no snaps . The wire armature in legs and arms made them poseable . Nice post :-))

Thank you Mani! You are fabulous! I will check out the clothes more carefully when I get home so I can tell if they are hers--thanks to your info! Best, Julie
