Trying to get some information on this water jug purchased from an antique dealer in Bamyan province, Afghanistan. Best guess is it's an Aft Aubs or Loti, used for hand-washing, possibly 18th century, copper and brass with tin seaming. 13" high with the globular formed body measuring around 8", splayed foot, elongated spout with a gentle curve, long tapering cylindrical neck. Check out what looks to be dovetail joints (or 'cramped') connecting two different metals within both the body and the neck (the most interesting features!) Anybody know anything more about this piece?
