This was my grandmother's, then my mother's, then mine. I know it is pre-1940, my mother told me it was much older. It is a special favorite heirloom. I have used it for tea!

Wondering if the style or potter's mark offers clues to age or origin. It has the tea strainer and a wire wrapped bamboo handle.

      Hi Jim,
Thank you for your expertise and kind words. I have had some treasures stored away for years. It is just recently that we've had our kids move out. For the first time, I have room to (safely!) display and enjoy my favorite things.

      Thank you, Sunnybrook

My thanks to Jim for the identification. I have corrected the description of my teapot and marked my mystery as solved! :)
