Found this vintage set in Christchurch and just love the geometric pattern on Amber glass. They are probably from the 60s, 70s and are in mint condition. The made in Japan sticker is intact. I always wondered why vintage glasses are often in a set of 5 and not an even 4 or 6?!

Bobogal it is more a Japanese thing. They never sold sets of 4 or 6, always 5, whether it's glasses, bowls, tea cups etc.
      I really like these.

Thanks for the love and comments. Valentino, I like how your mind works lol.
Racer, I wonder if it's an Asian thing overall because even with vintage glasses or plates I get in Singapore, they are always in 5s, never 4 or 6. I think 4 is a bad luck number for the Chinese because it sounds like death so I wonder if it's due to that!
