I found this little beauty! I'm not sure exactly what it is or what's it's called. But it has a cloth cord and plugs in. Three different brightness settings. It seems as though its supposed to hang from the wall somehow, and possibly are able to adjust height. The only writing I can find on it is underwriters laboratories. It also has a very heavy piece on the cord and I'm not sure it's pourpose. Anyone have a name for me?

I just bought 2 wall sconces that have the same type of look, except mine do not have the globe like yours. Researching them is what brought me to this page. Mine are by Colonial Premium Co. and they are bedroom wall sconces. I think the weight lets you move the light down to where you might need it and then when you let go the weight will bring the light back up to its original position. That is a guess from the small amount of information I am finding. I love the cover for yours. Mine does not have a cover for the light.
