Green! One of my favorite colors, ya know why? It just looks rich and means money to me :)

This could be from the 40's to 50's, what's your guess? Maybe the zipper pull gives it away, hmmm, this color was popular in the 60's wasn't it?

I thought it was hand made, in fact, I was told by the makers son yet when I saw the neck area, it made me wonder-then I remembered that women did put tags of their own there. So yes, the lady did make it herself and did a great job at it.

It's a 2 piece Linen Dress and very sharp w/great detail in person. The little Jacket buttons up nicely with same material buttons, I just wanted you all to see the color contrast. Also wondering if all that makes the value a bit higher??? I have a fab Dark Green Velvet Handbag by Ideal. It matches perfectly and when I find it, I'll post it for you to see. Every time I look up that handbag, I get toys, I guess because of the name "Ideal"???

It does fit me well but right now I've been having a hard time with the heat and the lining makes me wayyy to hot! It's about a size 6, a little too big for a 4 and that's really what I wear. (except in the winter and I would be too cold in the winter for it...lol, I just can't win with it.

    Thanks for looking!

LOL!!! Sure is! Yea, 50's it is then, that was always my first thought! Thanks for the kind words and love!

I put together some more turquoise jewelry today, still need work but I'll post the progress if I can. Now that will make it Navajo, Zuni & Cherokee (me), but I'm like the white buffalo, blonde...lol! (Only 1/2 Cherokee).

I've had a look threw your posts and feel that I think we see somewhat the same in our pieces. Can't describe it better.

Lots of good seamstresses back then, and the idea of a contrast in lining was pretty common.
      Looks great yeah?
Nicely made and possibly by a "local" dressmaker who made bespoke clothing for clients and had her own label. Pity it's gone!

No wonder you get cold! Size 4? Meat needed!!!

racer, agree, it used to be less expensive to "make it yourself", not now. It's too bad that in this "hurry up world" we have lost many things!

LMAO- you're right about the size and cold lol meat needed - all my life!!! I couldn't gain weight if you paid me!!! About a month after my 1st kid, I was right back in a size 3, and not happy about that! Ahhh, so I have gained weight over the years...LMAO!!! (What can I say)? :)

Thank you val! And about the gorgeous part, nah, I wish! Just regular ol' me!!! And as for the birds (scuze the pun), a must have would be a female named Bonnie, right?!

We used to have 55gal fish tank, Bonnie & Clyde-Ricky and Lucy - Mickey and Mini and on and on, not to forget Cholo and Chola lol...We named them all!
      Thanks, have a good one!
