This is a piece my uncle had out in his shed/barn. The whole area was a "pickers paradise". I have several other items he also gave me such as a "wrought iron" ashtray stand and a nice 1940's Coca Cola oval outdoor thermometer that stands about 36 inches tall. There were other things he gave me as well but they just don't come to mind right now. This bell is super cool and has a real nice sound when the chain is pulled downward. I was told that it was made in the 1930's and is in remarkably great condition. It looks like it is almost "brand new". It's just another very unusual piece that I have acquired down through the years. And is one that when I saw it, I just had to have it. Wish you guys could hear the sound it has.
You've been rather Busy on this website haven’t yea? 130 items in 20 days... that’s a rather lot, an interesting collection of stuff you do have!
Thank you Shawnl86. Forgive me for posting your name incorrectly when I commented to your comment on the pink "Fentonglass" pink bowl. I won't get it wrong again. And yes I've been busy. I stumbled onto this site researching my first post of the banjo-uke and fell in love immediately with it and all the folks/stuff here. As I have said before, it's right down my "antique alley". Would you believe I've not even scratched the surface of all the junk/stuff/antique items I've accumulated during the last 20+years of my life. In my profile bio, my now 13 year old son, sums it up well when he said a few years back, "dad, our house looks like the "Cracker Barrel". Thanks again my friend for taking the time to look, and for taking the time to comment.
