The first of what will be many thermometers. $17 w/ shipping bought online. The Florida heat reminds me that it works great. Not an expensive, rare or highly sought after piece, but one that now has a new permanent home.
Added 3 more pix: close ups of logos, no trademark signs anywhere. Backside is hard to read but says MORCO Made in USA 1.
Was advertised as 1960's new old stock. It lacks markings that would make me think its newer (no "made in china" of (r) near the logos). By the 50 in the Celcius column is says "Made in USA 29." That's all I can tell you.
I haven't seen it either. Any trademark detail?
According to their website, Morco manufactures specialty advertising products and have been in business 93 years.

There are multiple listings on eBay for this type of thermo. One with a definitive date attribution of 1987.

So this could be a period or later piece commissioned by a bottler or dealer.
They sell today on the MORCO website for cheap. I'll ask the seller if he has more information.
I'm thinking the same thing. Still waiting to hear from seller to see if he can shed any more insight. His ad says he bought it off a collector. I'll share if seller has any more info.
Here's what the seller just sent me..."I bought it locally from a couple in there 60's who had collected coca cola for 30 years. They had just about every item coke ever produced going back into the 1800's. They did not tell me anything about it except that it was NOS when they bought it and that it was from the 1960's. I just liked it because it was unusual and at the time I was collecting different coke thermometers."
