I have made friends with some very good car nuts on Flicker posting pictures. I made friends with Michael Paul Smith who become very famous with he shots of a model town known as Elgin Park, his mythical town. You can find him on Amazon. He wrote me to ask if I would like some of his old dealer promos since I have pictures posted of the few I own. How could I refuse. He has sent me 15 of the 45 he owns so far and of this typing there are more on the way. As you can see they are in very good shape. I'm so amazed I have a 1970 Ford Maverick promo model. How cool is that. I hope you enjoy looking at them.
I have a promo model of a 1970 Maverick by Jo-Han, just like the green one in these pics . It belonged to my father in law who was an avid Ford fanatic . It came from Ford in Detroit , Michigan in a box with a return address from Maverick in Michigan, not from Jo-Han . It also cam with a brochure for the 1970 Maverick with it's price at a whopping $1995.00 . I was wondering if anyone had a clue as to what is was worth .
Andy.. that sounds really cool you have all that. Of course price of it all depends on the condition. If its mint I would say you are looking at a minimum of $100.00 to $125.00 just for the promo, BUT to have the box add another $25.00 and then all the information such as the address on the box and the Maverick brochure which if all in good shape should easliy bring $150 to $200 I would think with it all together. Just keep it all in good shape, it sounds very rare. To get better ideas try going to local hobby shows or check Ebay.
