7 inch base plate, 28 inches high( Reworked Lighting hardware, or newer)
Patina-ed looking stand, not sure if it's vintage but love the "Steampunk" look. Was hoping someone could identify it as possibly ...older?
Anyway, I like it...and sure it will find a home soon, but have never seen one before. I found it in a thrift shop, and just had to get it

I have a lamp like this. My shade is red. I bought mine at a flea market. First time I've seen one also. I don't think mine is that old. Doesn't seem to be. Maybe 10 years or so???

Okay, well, thank you so much for the response...actually, your post affirms my suspicions, though I had already decided to use the lamp, or parts of it to marry to an actual antique item which entails some Steam/Edwardian era mechanisms...to create my "First" Steampunk Frankenstein antique art piece, Hey, what with the Shipping prices etc of today, I may wind up having to keep the item...but I kind of like it already. At least the mental visage I have so far.
I entered a short Blog Post of my thoughts on this whole "Steampunk" thing on iantique:

Say simular lamps in a decorators shop in Austin. I believe they were manufacturing them- it was downtown, but I don't recall the street.

      It's a new lamp.
Popular during the late 90's and VERY inexpensive.
Pottery Barn sold them along with a million other cheap copies- $29.95.

It's nowhere near Steampunk nor even authentic Victorian in styling.
