I recently inherited a bunch of antiques and family heirlooms from my father, who grew up in a pretty wealthy family in New Jersey. One of the furniture items in his house was this dining set, with table (2 add'l leaves, not pictured) and 6 chairs.
Amongst his papers I found a note stating it was a "Duncan Phyfe dining set, cherry wood (bought 1938)". While I know it's more likely to be a Duncan Phyfe "style" reproduction, I'm wondering if it's possible it could be an original set (considering many of my late grandfather's other possessions, I wouldn't be surprised).
