More glass from Salvation. This crystal clear and amazing lion covered dish. Made by the Imperial Glass Co. I believe this pattern is called "Atterbury". It carries their scepter intersecting a captial "G" mark on the bottom. Not a nick or chip on it's lace edge or anywhere else. These were made in several colors as well as frosted and slag. It will look very nice with my Westmoreland swan covered dish I found last Summer. -Mike-

This is an Imperial Glass reproduction of Atterbury's Lion dish from 1889. The superimposed IG mark was used by Imperial Glass beginning in 1951 and until the time the were bought out by Lenox in 1970s.

another indication of the Atterbury Glass connection is the lace edge motif that Atterbury called 'Dancing Sailor', which was used on several of Atterbury's patterns.
