Just had to post this. Not the Greatest shape, but it was MY Dad's tool from the farm. Must be from around the 1950's or so..... He was a farmer, and a JOHN DEERE person. My Mom and Dad were such Wonderful people. I remember always playing with this since it was kinda a Pink Color. I was Daddy's little girl. Had to always be outside helping my Dad work on Cars, Trucks, or tractors.....Driving big trucks, or the combines at Harvest time.......or just help cleaning the barns or picking up bales. I was always helping my Dad. I would make MOM wait on me to do the dishes....LOL.
Really different old tool, IMHO.
I KEEP in Memory of my DAD.....+ RIP +
Thanks
This was your dad's pruning shear. He probably carried it in his pocket. Your mom probably gave him hell for tearing the pocket bottoms. They are quite common and the value is how you remember them. The dollar value is nothing, only the memories.
@Fhrjr2 -- Thanks for the reply. I will never get rid of it. It is memories to me as posted......and that......well that is *Priceless* IMHO.
Thinking of you DAD -- right now
:-(
I have a pair here my dad gave me 51 years ago. I won't part with mine either.
@Fhrjr2 -- Thanks for the Reply. Funny how we draw so much attachment to memories to hold on to.
** To all our Dads out there that are now Gone -- We love you and miss you !!
