Old Phillips 66 sign found in the woods. Someone had used it and painted over the sign. This is what was found when you took the paint off. Pretty cool. I have never seen a Phillips sign before that says PHILGAS. One persons trash another persons treasure…..
I can't find anything on this size sign (55x48) and nothing on the "PHILGAS" at the bottom
Does anyone know much about the sign? I would love to have a story to tell rather than "its cool but thats about all I know"
Thanks
Catrina
I saw something like this just with different graphics so I know its natural gas but can anyone tell me what the r in the circle is? I can't find any other sign with this and im puzzled and still curious if anyone can tell me what time frame this was used

late 60's early 70's
Great, thank you so much. Do you know anything else about it. I see the common sheild everywhere but not anything with both sheild and philgas so large. Would this have been a common sign for natural gas locations during that time period?
I would say yes, it would have been common at places that sold LP gas.
