I am trying to track down some information on an older pitcher/bottle that I have. The piece is very decorative and I have been trying to research it as a porcelain pitcher. But at closer inspection, the very hard to read embossing on the bottom says "Old Mr Boston" across the top curve and "Fine Wines" across the bottom curve. There was additionally something embossed in the middle, perhaps a word and "Pat" plus number, but it is so light and shallow that I can't make it out. There is some metallic ink (same color as trim) that has the note "From Marguerita Christmas 1958". I've not been able to find that Old Mr Boston ever put out anything so elaborately decorative.
Details on the bottle:
Height: Approximately 11 3/4" tall
Medium: possibly porcelain, some crazing
Color: Ivory with pink, green and gold
Marks: "Old Mr Boston" and "Fine Wines" and something in the middle that may be a patent number
One more thing - in my research I have found Old Mr Boston wine bottles that have a plastic spout with the exact same decorative detail as the embossing on the neck of this bottle, but this one definitely is not plastic. Makes me wonder if this was some sort of limited edition bottle for a club member or something?
