Our bearded dragon "Ulisse" (named after Aldrovandi) came alive the other day after many months of brumation.

Raring to go, I introduced him to this other lizard by Miloslav Janku, Zelezny Brod, Czechoslavakia.
All went as usual away from the heat lamp; Ulisse got cold, and went nearly as stiff as the glass.

I love Janku's animals even though this is the only one I have.
The green lizard is a sensual creature with long flowing lines and crystal cut eyes and spines. He sits and considers, much as Ulisse does.

    Length 30cm (12in)

BTW - isn't Ulisse a beauty? Look at the scales and markings! (proud mother here)

      What a fabulous pair!
Can I suggest a name for the fabulous Janku ZBS piece ..... Odisseo?
      Is it a salamander?

I believe it is a salamander Kevin.
You are o clever! Odisseo would be the perfect name!

I am the bearded dragon that hibernates around this house :- )

      Neat to you too AntiqueRose!

You possibly aren't scaly enough Marty although your beard is impressive!
