Hello everyone, I am in need of some help with any knowledge I can get about this beautiful iron and brass bed. I received this bed from a cousin that passed away many years ago after her death, so the only info that I can remember is that it was purchased in Northern Indiana. When I received it is was painted white. I had it stripped and reprinted. My husband and I have taken each piece of the brass and hand polished them. There used to be mother of pearl cut and placed on each of the 6 square pieces on the footboard(see photos) but most of it is missing or has fallen off. I still have some pieces for use as a pattern. hopefully at a later date those can be replaced. Also in the center of the footboard is a round piece that has a star of mother of pearl (see photos). This bed has the original side frame brackets and is a peg frame? I am so excited to finally have this piece in my home. It has been a long time dream.
So if there is any on one out there that could help with any information I would so appreciate it. So sorry pics are sideways.

Thank you Mr. Morris, yes I feel my bed is a real treasure as well. It has taken a long time to refinish it but well worth the hard work and wait. I loved it before it was refinished and love it more now.
