    This is really out of my realm of glass or porcelain. I picked this up today at a garage sale. I fell in love with this lamp on first site. The lady said it was old. And it's in great condition for it's age. Help please.

      No idea -- But Stunning!!

      Only thing I think of it -- is it reminds me of a Russian Vase I had once long ago but just reminded me of it.....That is all...

      Hi, Moonstone! I think that this depicts the Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1776-1810), who married Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm III and was consort Queen Louise of Prussia. She was regarded as one of the most beautiful German women who ever lived, and she is often painted with a scarf around her neck, which she adopted when she had a swelling in her throat, and which adornment she continued to wear after she recovered. She was very popular....Sorry - that's all I know. : )
