Lamp from a dear friend!

Not a good photo, I know! But where would I look to determine the type, style, etc. also, there are several small cracks in the large striped section. Is the lamp worth a repair? Lots of ?s I know! It belonged to a good friend of mine! Thanks. I did not know the sub-category.
