Sterling Bangle, Birmingham

This is one of my favorite recent finds: The bangle is marked with a lion, an anchor, and the letter S. I believe that makes it a vintage item from 1968, produced in Birmingham, England. It also has one more mark on the other side but I need some better light to figure it out.
The bangle is about 1 inch wide and is in pretty good shape if you disregard some minor scratches.

When I first saw it, it looked rather sad. It must have been tucked away somewhere for a long time. It tool a lot of patience and time to bring its former beauty back.
