In the unknown pile at the moment - an amethyst threaded spatter bowl. The threading *almost* matches up exactly on lid and bowl but not quite. It is 13.5cm across.

    Unsolved Mystery

The unpublished Ruckl line art drawing depicting a decor identified as "Decor 300/I orange Shimmy" shows only TWO colors, orange and yellow, and has no veins.

This decor is not even remotely similar to that art work. The published drawing of "Decor: 329 orange Shimmy Pfau" on pg 75 of Truitt II, shows the same TWO colors with some dark colored pulls emanating from the base of the drawing into the body of the shape. The addition of the term "Pfau" obviously indicates the pulls being added to the base decor. This observation is supported by several other published and unpublished drawings of varying colors of "Shimmy" and "Shimmy Pfau" decors.

This decor contains SIX colors...... red, yellow, orange, white, blue, and green with some amethyst veins on the surface. In addition, referring to it as a "variant" of the "orange Shimmy" decor would be a position I would personally consider to be unsupported by any known facts.

Could it be Ruckl? sure.... it could also be Kralik or any other wide variety of known and unknown houses of the period.

Great covered dish in a vibrant and colorful, but as of yet, unidentified decor.

Don't believe everything you read and question everything, I suppose. The German listings on EBay are no more or less on the ball than those from the USA or UK.

      Great glass!

Agree with welz-- this decor is NOT remotely close to the cited "orange shimmy"!

My secret on Ebay is seach for "glas" as it tends to get everything. Almost. Some people can't tell the difference between ceramic and glass.
