    Bought this at an estate sale run by the children .. Was told this is an early American salt glaze pottery covered jar.. However, as with other pieces in my collection.. I have been unsuccessful in finding same or similar piece.. It is in such perfect condition.. Would really love to know who made it and when.. that part of me that is passionate about exactly identifying the things that have shined up to me and joined my collection : ) ~
