I bought this chair at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago for $10. It needs new upholstery as the seat is vinyl, and I was debating restraining/refinishing it. Anyone know anything about this type of chair? What time period this is likely from, what style of chair this would be, and maybe an approximate value? There aren't any markings on the chair or underneath, from what I can tell...

Thanks Phil, I appreciate your comment. I wasn't really looking for a "hard" value, I'm not reselling it. I paid $10 for the chair, I guess I was more curious if anyone know the styling or time period. I was going to refinish it, but had a few people suggest I try to find out its value before doing so, in case it actually was somewhat valuable as is, and I shouldn't touch the existing finish. Any idea what time period this might be from, or what the styling would even be called? Was thinking 60's or 70's, but really have no idea.

I remember when I was a teenager we owned the whole set of these chairs along with the table. It came with a buffet also. It all eventually broke with wear and tear. But I remember the blue original vinyl seats. Mom bought it from a Southern lady in texas. That's all I know.

I also remember the backs to the chairs were very flimsy and could break easily. We had this set in the 50s.
