    I would appreciate the chair to be dated and a rough worth.
    I have no idea what it is? the screw that are in the chair are bulbous and look very old. Any reply would be helpful

      Can you add a photo from underneath?
      It almost looks like the seat should be woven cane...

      Oak press back chair from about the 1890s- 1910s. It did originally have a cane seat.

      These are fairly plentiful as they were mass produced and popular.

      Most top out at about $50.

      I am being guided by a friend so here it is. This is a double press back which came after the press back chairs. There is a really obvious difference. Don't shoot me down I am learning to. thanks
