You can see the original label. Utterly adore this piece - it's so chunky yet elegant and goes well in the bathroom as if it's a fantastic men's eau de cologne bottle.

Well it's not Sydney Opera House!
I think it is called "Sydney in the 1840's"
They are normally etch marked on the bottom with Nuutajärvi Nostjo & a date of 1963. They come in a few colours.
The building I know well because I live just a block away from it.
The Darlinghurst Court House is a sandstone building located on Oxford Street at Taylor Square, in the inner city suburb of Darlinghurst. It is still used by the New South Wales Supreme Court. The central block, designed by Mortimer Lewis, was built in 1835.
The reason why Nuutajärvi designed the bottles still eludes me but I have a theory.
I believe it was an anniversary design to celebrate 175 years of settlement here in Australia.

I will only add that Vet's theory on why Nuutajarvii designed the bottles is a good one!
Yes it has those markings with 1963 at the bottom - very proud owner here and thank you for the information
