Stands over 6 ft. tall and 5 ft. wide, some square nails, flat head screws, wrought iron hinges and table legs. Table and benches have wrought iron curved legs.
Someone painted the top three small cabinets and table top red. Not enamel so should come off pretty easy. Skeleton key opens fold down table and benches.
My guess is spanish, maybe walnut.
Would love to get some info on this. I have looked and looked and I can't find anything like it.
also has 5 drawers down below.
Now, that's an interesting design! Never seen anything even close to that before.
me either! LOL
I have a very similar cabinet. Only noticible difference I can see is the hinges. Mine are smaller and seam like they match. The ones on yours seam like add ons. Also, the slide bolts look like modifications. I have original key plates on all locked cabinets and original screws, which are black, rounded wood scews.
This is what I know, or have been told.
I think it is called a "Cowboy kitchen". I too think its Spanish influence. The drawers have what I think is called, Dovetailed joints .
Mine was purchased at an antique auction some 50 years ago. A rich boyfriend of my Mother's bought it for her and never disclosed the purchase price. He stated to her that it's not a good quality piece, as he only purchased the very best and most expensive. This cabinet sat in my Mom's kitchen for all those years and I eventually bought for my own, as I always loved it. I'm now at a point in life to pass it on, or sell for what it might be worth. I have no idea. I will post mine, with pictures very soon.
Thanks for the info. You are the first person that has seen or has something like it. Still searching for a value.
