I have these 2 dolls that were given to me by my great aunt when I was little. I found a card on the bottom that said it was made by Award winning Irene Ann from Lancaster New York. I don't know anything else about them, nor can I seem to find anything. Anyone know anything?

Hi your dolls were made by a doll artist they are most likely made from a older mold and she painted them. Their necks should be signed under hair can you look there ?
These porcelain type dolls were very popular in 1980's and 90's . They were made to look like antique bisque dolls . There maybe also a symbol if made from mold of old doll. There were many many doll artists during this period and she may have won a award on these 2 dolls at doll convention on new dolls . At a UFDC or NADA convention . Look at back of necks and let me know what you see ok .

Hi! On the neck of the boy I found
      ia t 1988 (t looks like a cross)
      151
      13
The 1988 I'm going to assume that's the year it was made as I know my great aunt picked them up 25-30 years ago. I don't know what the rest of it means.

He was made from old mold of a antique doll done by Hertel Schwab Germany .
She just painted the blank mold you can get in a ceramic class ,you paint it and they fire it . This was common to do since at the time a real antique doll like him would have been very costly although prices have fallen a lot since then . The 151 is mold number and 13 is head size . They are reproductions .The initials are from whoever made in dolls in 1988

Your very welcome :-) the ia is Irene Ann initials . They are required to put their initials or name on a reproduction mold so it will not look like a original . However they never do :-)
