When I was little I used to go to my great grandma's house n play with this awful thing. I'm looking for some info on this item.. I've no idea how to go about searching for it on the internet, and I would be very happy if someone could give me the history behind this racist toy. I'm pretty sure its 40+ years old it really has no marking on it so I have no idea when it was made or where. If anyone knows anything I've been looking for years wondering where this thing came from but still no answer.

      Here's an original 'Chuck':

Yours looks like a re-pro from a later period.

Well, This was my great grandma's she gave it 2 me in the 90's she told us to try and get the ball out of his mouth not throw it in. But it looks like you might be onto something. Thanks for the info maybe the object was to throw the ball into his mouth not take it out? Anyway this is the most info I've been able to find since I received it as a child thank you.

I talked with my grandmother she hardly remembered it at all. My great grandma was born in 1912, my grandma was born in the early 40's she remembers playing with it as a child. I tried to test if its made of bakelite but no luck. The plastic seems very smooth which makes me question what its made of. My mother says she thinks its from 1920's 1930's the picture may be deceiving its a very small toy about 2 inches tall, inch and a half wide. If I had to guess I would have to say the 50's but then again it was my great grandma's.. so it has to be old she was born in 1912, Maybe she bought it for my grandmother when she was a child, no one remembers.
That's pretty much all the info I have 2 go on. I still will try to test of its plastic or bakelite , I think that might give me the clues I'm looking for.
