She first took pottery classes in Germany 1956.
Began firing her own work when she moved to Virginia in 1960.
In 1990 she served on the board of directors at the Smithsonian Institution.
I just adore this! (and I am not a cat person)
racer4four I love animals and have two rescue cat's outside and now a baby kitten inside.... which once he is big enough to protect himself from the larger ones he will be an outside cat. But I usually don't purchase pieces with animal figure's on them but I felt I had to rescue this piece and thought it would look great hanging behind one of my solid blue pieces.
