Vintage art deco watercolor signed kupur. I have only seen a handfull of art work signed "kupur" very kool piece of art. Nice bamboo frame. You are able to see the artist scketch drawing line. Very kool very chic. If anybody can tell me more about the artist, let me know. There are reports that "Kupur is Russian, that he used to design lamps? Who knows? Thanks for looking
Hi! I just googled Kupur as well because I just acquired a watercolor in a very nice frame and the painting is in a similar vein as yours. I acquired it in central Florida where I live now. The painting has a very large bouquet of gorgeous assorted flowers and is sitting on a table with a decorative object on it. Color sense is somewhat similar, medium, style, slightly different almost looks like a guache paint , and as though like so many painters , modified look as they were experimenting and in a different mind set verses the look of your painting and mine. The signature looks a little different as well, (the way he wrote his r ), but the 2 dash lines are there. The painting is also on a square shaped paper , like yours. I do not have time to photo painting and load right now....Our investigations continue! Lisa
