I got this at my local thrift shop. Very tiny piece. No types of marks or maker. Don't know its origin or age.

racer4four, no the ring around the box is sort of like a dark amber or onyx. It is translucent somewhat if you hold it up to the light. The metal part looks like silver and all the other stones are semi-precious

I'm thinking this is possibly from India or east towards Iran (Persia).
Maybe do some Googling on images and see what comes up.
