Vintage Hardwood Jewelry Box

When I saw this little jewelry box, I had to get it. It is made of hardwood and even though it is rather small, it is heavy. The inside is, or should I rather say was, made of silk. My husband wanted to help me clean it, and when he did, the silk fell apart. When I find a nice piece of silk, I will refinish the inside.
There are no marks whatsoever on the box.
And, I am sorry to say, I have no idea what category I should put this little box in:(
