Can anyone tell me about this chair? We have a matching pair and would like to know a little bit about the style and era. The seating, sides and back are leather. The arms are some kind of wood with carved out areas for removeable brass ashtrays. From the front of the armrest to the floor is carved wood ending in a claw foot on the front 2 legs.

    Any help is appreciated.

It has built in ashtrays .I can see a man sitting in his study smoking a pipe or cigar in it :-) Wood on arms is Oak .
