This is a promotional contest for a magazine called "Capper's Farmer" dated July, 1933. It's in two pieces because it wouldn't fit on my scanner.
The ad says "It is a real automobile with a 4-cycle gasoline motor that will run from 6 to 12 MPH andyou can go 50 miles on one gallon of gasoline. It has air tires, headlights, bumper, spare wheel and tire, V-type radiator, good brakes, and a horn. It has everything the late model big cars have - except a name. Help us name it..."
Kinda sneaky - if you read carefully, they don't actually say they are giving away THIS car. But at any rate, I'm wondering if it went into production and what they go for now. Anyone know the answer?
Bon chance!
awesome!!
This looks like the racers that were made in Des Moines Iowa between the years 1930 to 1940 by the Sales & manufacturing Co. They were mostly made for product give away contest . They were not a cheap car they sold for $250.00 when new. Any chance I could get a copy of this flyer.
I Got the Company name wrong It was the National sales & Manufacturing Co.
Thanks for all the info, marlonball! Now tell me how I can get one!
