Oak Framed Mirror with beveled kidney shaped mirrors from Tyler & Hippach Glass Company. Through the silvering you can see they are dated 3 1903.
We purchased this piece stripped and without shelves in 1978 from an antiques furniture shop called 'Second Time Around' in Northwest Indiana. We finished it ourselves, cut and placed some simple shelves on it and had the center mirror cut for it at that time.
We've wondered if it was a mirror to a dresser, but have always used it as a stand alone piece.
More recently curious about what I could find out about the mirror, I tried to look into information behind it. The story behind the Hippach family from the Tyler & Hippach Glass Company is a very interesting one.
