This painting is by an artist known as Eduardo Forlenza, 1861-1934. This painting seems to be in oil and is signed by the artist but the signature is a bit faint. It measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and shows the brush strokes. My question is how do I know if this is an original by the artist himself? If anyone out there knows more about this artist or the painting feel free to comment.

I have a copy of this very same picture for 45 years, I have no idea how old it truely is other than it was given to me as a kid by a friend. Also wondering how to tell authenticity. It very old and somewhat weathered of the years but same as above pictured.

      41 years, not 45
