    Need any information about this piece. Looks like jade but could be glass or some other semi-precious stone. Does not have any type of marks and its kind of heavy. Would like to find out the origin of this piece.

      If it can be easily scratched, alabaster.
      If not, onyx.

      kyratango, what would I use to scratch the piece. Nail? Piece of metal? A diamond? I mean without damaging it.

      A needle or any sharp point of metal, on the support's bottom.
      Google for images of onyx or alabaster egg, to see apparence of these stones!
      In no way it is jade :-/
