Initially my attention was drawn to the teal color of the beautifully detailed border, then I noticed varying handle shapes with tasteful gold accents. Some of the cups had little O's, some a curved hook and some had what appeared to be a swan shape. The opacity of the porcelain is amazing considering they are not that thin and with the slightest hint of blue...had to have them! In researching I discovered the pattern was initially manufactured for the Templeton Inn, Templeton, Massachusetts in 1899. The original pieces were scalloped and included the Inn's originator Moses W. Richardson initials and the name of the Inn. I included a photo of the Inn, amazingly, the cost of the Inn was 150,000 in 1900...just imagine the grandeur and luxury. The Royal Worcester dinnerware was purchased from Bailey, Banks and Biddle, Boston and displayed in the hand forged pine wall cabinets of the dining area....Amazing!

      Hi
Just clearing out my cupboards - years ago I used to collect all sorts and would occasionally find the odd piece of Royal Worcester. Ive often wondered about those pieces - I have 2 of the cups and 5 tea plates. Are they worth anything before I pass them on.
